Gallbladder Diagnos

So how are gallbladder problems diagnosed? Well there are a number of tests available:

  • Lab tests to check for jaundice, inflammation signs of the liver, or pancreatic inflammation.
  • Ultrasound to image the abdominal organs
  • CT scan to image the abdominal organs.
  • MRI scan called MRCP to visualize the common bile duct.
  • Heida scan with radioactive tracing.
  • ERCP test where a scope is passed via the mouth into the common bile duct.
