In some cases the gallbladder (Gall Bladder) may have to be removed with surgery. This is called a cholecystectomy. After the gallbladder have been removed the bile (gall fluid) is delivered directly from the liver into the upper parts of the intestine.
Gallbladder removal complications are rare, but when they occour they may be in the form of bleeding, infection or injury to the duct that carries the bile from the gall bladder to the stomach.
