Urinary Incontinence Causes

Urinary Incontinence, like any bladder problem, can have a wide range of causes. In many cases the causes of urinary incontinence is temporary, and goes away when the underlying condition is treated. If you suffer from incontinence it is very importent that you go to your doctor or local health center, because while incontinence often can be cured it will probably not go away by it self. Chanses are your bladder problem will increase if you do not treat the underlying condition. Bladder Incontinence can be a symptom of one of the following:

  • Bladder diseses such as bladder ancer can damage the bladder and cause incontince problems.
  • Muscle weaknesses in the bladder and sorrounding areas.
  • A Urinary Tract Infection. That is an infection probably from bacteria that has entered the Urethra and polluted the Urinary Tract.
  • Bladder Irritation. Could be from many different factors.
  • Medication side effects. Always consult your doctor if you have medication apart from your urinary bladder incontinence.
  • A Blocked Urethra. For men this is probably caused by an enlarged prostate.
  • Impacted Stool. Stool that has become so tightly packed that bowel movement may be impossible.
  • An Overactive Bladder. Yes an overactive bladder can cause Urinary Incontinence.
