  • Bladder training program

With the help of your doctor you can create a training program for the bladder so that the bladder holds urine better and longer. Usually you will drink your usual amount of fluids but pass on beverages such as coffee, tea and sweet soft drinks. You will also make a schedule for when to go to the bathroom, starting with for example once every hour. With time your bladder will become stronger and you could increase the time between the visits.

    Regular Bladder exercisis

By contracting the muscles around the bladder like you would when you want to stop yourself from urinating you can slowly train these muscles so that you when needed canhold urine longer. Keep the muscles tightened for about 5-10 seconds, and then relaxe for about the same amount of time. Do this a few times every day increasing the times every day for a few weaks.

    Bladder exercising gear

Your doctor could help you buy a small device that give harmless electrcal currents, thus training your bladder muscles more quickly.

    Medical treatment of the Bladder

If your doctor suggusts it, you could use drugs such as Detrol and Ditropan to cope with your problem.

    Bladder Surgery

Surgery can fix nearly every bladder problem, including a blocked urine passage, damaged nerves, a small bladder, weak muscles around the bladder or damaged nerves controlling the bladder.
